HEC Faculty Development Program 2018 November PhD Scholarships Apply Online Latest

HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR PAKISTANI UNIVERSITIES

Applications are invited for the academic year 2018-19 from Pakistani/AJK faculty members of HEC recognised universities under the Higher Education Commission's project titled Faculty Development Programme for Pakistani universities. The scholarship programme will provide an opportunity to faculty members of public and private universities/Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIS) to pursue PhD degree at selected HEC recognised Pakistani universities/DAls. The scholar can avail scholarship for a maximum period of four years including 6-12 months at foreign university.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be Pakistani/ AJK nationals.
• Must have minimum 18 years of education with MS/MPhiVequivalent degree for PhD admission in the relevant field.
• Must have two years of consecutive teaching experience In the parent university/DAls.
• Must have V Division (in annual examination system) or minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.0 in the final degree and no 3rd Division/Grade D in the entire academic career.
• Maximum age limit on closing date is 45 years.
• The faculty members who are already enrolled in PhD (beyond Spring 2018) or availing HEC/Government /university or any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.
• Applicant must be a faculty member of HEC recognised university, and will re-join after completion of studies as per terms and conditions of the scholarship award.
• Visiting/adjunct faculty members are not eligible to apply.

Application Procedure:

• Applicants are required to submit only online application via HEC e-portal (http://eportaLhec.gov.pk).
• Original deposit slip/ ATM transfer slip of Rs. 500/-(non-refundable as application processing fee) in favour of Director General Finance, HEC need to be uploaded at HEC e-portal. Fee can be deposited through any bank in Account Number 1742-79001334-01 Habib Bank Limited.

• Applications are considered on the following evaluation criteria.

1. Academic Merit of the Candidate (By Academic Evaluation Formula)
2. Higher Education Aptitude Test
3. Interview

• Only those candidates will be considered for scholarship who are or may be enrolled in HEC selected universities available at HEC website.
• Merit list of scholarship will be prepared on the basis of online information/ data provided by the applicants and in case of any error/omission, the offer will stand cancelled.
• HEC reserves the right to select or reject applicant on the basis of selection criteria.
• Applicants are required to keep the record of original fee deposit slip. Hard copy will be required at later stage.
